Liberty Helicopter is helping with Recovery Efforts of Hurricane Sandy

The Eastern Region Helicopter Council’s Helicopter Emergency Response Program is coordinating with the appropriate New York State agencies, the Red Cross and Staten Island Hospitals to assist in the recovery efforts of Hurricane Sandy. We are the infancy stages of setting up collection points outside of the affected areas where we can either pick-up much needed supplies and bring them into Staten
Island or transport survivors out to shelters which can accommodate them. We will need assistance in many ways; first of course is the use of member’s aircraft for the transports and also volunteers in areas that have provisions and power to assist in running the collection points. If you have not already contacted Tyson Mowry regarding your status in the program, please do so. Please send me your availability, locations and scope of assistance you are ready to provide. We are also reaching out to airports and heliports to hopefully get some relief on the costs of gas and fees to assist in this effort.

Thank You all for your support.
